this is truth According to ancient prophecy fulfilled, Yeshua Ha Mashiach (Jesus the Messiah) suffered and was put to death and was placed in a tomb. As the Jewish Passover symbolized His death, He is the perfect lamb to die for our atonement. After 3 days He rose from the grave and was seen by more than 500 people, He was the fistfruit to return from the grave to life everlasting. He promises that believers of Him will also return to life everlasting.

Answer2:The apostles knew that Jesus' resurrection was different from all others before it. People who were resurrected earlier were given human bodies but later died again. Jesus was given a spirit body that can never be destroyed. (Read Acts 13:34.) Peter wrote that Jesus "was put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit." Also, "he is at God's right hand, for he went to heaven, and angels and authorities and powers were made subject to him." (1 Peter 3:18-22) Other resurrections were outstanding miracles, but Jesus' resurrection was the greatest miracle ever.He is the King of God's heavenly Kingdom, which will soon remove all badness from the earth and transform it into a paradise where people will live forever. (Luke 23:43) None of these things could happen if Jesus had not been resurrected.

After Jesus was executed, Jewish religious leaders came to Pilate and said: "Sir, we recall what that impostor said while he was still alive, 'After three days I am to be raised up.' Therefore, command that the grave be made secure until the third day, so that his disciples may not come and steal him and say to the people, 'He was raised up from the dead!' Then this last deception will be worse than the first." Pilate told them: "You may have a guard. Go make it as secure as you know how." That is exactly what they did.-Matthew 27:62-66.

At his burial, Jesus was put in a tomb carved out of a huge rock, and a large stone covered the entrance. The religious leaders wanted Jesus to stay in that tomb forever. But Jehovah had a totally different thought. Three days later, two disciples, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary, came to the tomb. There, they found the stone rolled away and an angel sitting on it. The angel told the women to look inside the tomb and see that it was empty. The angel said to them: "He is not here, for he was raised up." (Matthew 28:1-6) Jesus was alive!

Jesus said: "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life." (John 11:25) This promise of Jesus is guaranteed to come true. Jehovah has given Jesus the power to resurrect those who will rule in heaven and the billions who will live on earth. Jesus' sacrifice and resurrection guarantee that there will be no more death. So we can have the strength to endure any trial and even to face death with courage!

Jesus' resurrection gives us the confidence that people will be judged according to Jehovah's loving standards. Paul told a group of men and women in Athens that God will "judge the inhabited earth in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed" and that "he has provided a guarantee to all men by resurrecting him from the dead." (Acts 17:31) God appointed Jesus to be our Judge, and we can be sure that his judgment will be fair and loving.-Read Isaiah 11:2-4. Watchtower 11/15/2014

Christians believe that Jesus body which had been killed was raised to life and that He was seen alive by various people at various times. He gave evidence of being raised in actual physical form, just as He was before - it was the same body as evidenced by His invitation to people to view His scars.

Christians also believe that any and all who trust in Jesus Christ will in a similar fashion be raised to life eternal, though in a perfect incorruptible body. They see the resurrection as an assurance of this and a sign that Jesus was exactly who He claimed to be, the eternal Son of God. Those who believe are this Hi sons and daughters and share in His glory though not in His divine personhood.

Christians see the resurrection as an essential and central truth since as Paul described in 1 Corinthians 15, if Christ has not been raised we are effectively still dead in sin and likewise will not ever share in His glory.
Jn:5:29: And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation

Jn:11:25: Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

Acts:4:2: Being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through Jesus the resurrection from the dead.

Job:14:12: So man lieth down, and riseth not: till the heavens be no more, they shall not awake, nor be raised out of their sleep.

Ps:17:15: As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.

1Thessalonians:4:13-18: But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

14: For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

15: For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

16: For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

18: Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Matt:22:23-33: The same day came to him the Sadducees, which say that there is no resurrection, and asked him,

24: Saying, Master, Moses said, If a man die, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.

25: Now there were with us seven brethren: and the first, when he had married a wife, deceased, and, having no issue, left his wife unto his brother:

26: Likewise the second also, and the third, unto the seventh.

27: And last of all the woman died also.

28: Therefore in the resurrection whose wife shall she be of the seven? for they all had her.

29: Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.

30: For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.

31: But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God, saying,

32: I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.

33: And when the multitude heard this, they were astonished at his doctrine.

Daniel:12:1-4: And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

2: And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

3: And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

4: But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

Rv:20:12: And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

1Corinthians:15:51-58: Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

52: In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the Trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

53: For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

54: So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

55: O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

56: The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.

57: But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

58: Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

Jn:3:16: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Depending upon how one reckons time, there have been several revisions to the calendar over time, Jesus was born about the year 1 AD and died about 33 AD.

Another Answer:

Most modern scholars would agree that the birth of Jesus was in the late September to early October of the year 5-4 BC. He began His ministry when 30 years old in the Autumn of the year 27 AD (there is no year zero when calendar changed by Denis the Little in commission to the Pope). His ministry lasted 3 1/2 years and He died on the 4th Passover (as Sir Isaac newton believed) after His start as our Sacrifice for sin. This is dated as Wednesday (Passover), 25 April 31 AD in the 9th hour. For a complete 3 days and nights to pass as He claimed to be His only sign of His Messiahship, He arose just prior to sunset on Saturday, 28 April 31 AD. He was seen in the dark, early hours of Sunday morning. The Hebrew calendar starts with the dark or night period and ends in the light or day period per Genesis.

The above beginning of Christ's ministry fits perfectly with the 69 week or 483 years prophecy in Daniel 9:25-26 and the rebuilding of the Temple by Ezra in late March to late July 457 BC. Christ is our living Temple.

This is deep for Christians like me. See, Jesus died on the cross to save our sins. I know that God has already gone through any suffering that we may go through, so I also believe it's for God to know how it is to loose a child, since Jesus is His one and only Son. But the idea of the resurrection is that through that, Jesus conquered death, so we Christians officially have nothing to fear, not even death itself. Like it says in the song "In Christ Alone" - "then bursting forth in glorious day, up from the grave He rose again. And as He stands in victory, sin's curse has lost it's grip on me. For I am His, and He is mine. Bought with the precious blood of Christ." Christ's blood is precious to us Christians. This is a questions that goes so deep, I can't finish explaining it. Let's just say, I don't fear death because of that, and I am victorious because Christ stands in victory. Make sense?

Christians believe that Jesus died on the cross for the sins of the world, and arose again on the third day, which is Easter.

*************

Just as Christ was resurrected so shall all mankind be also for in John 5:28 we read - Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,

29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

This is what Christ taught the members of the early church, so that they would not fear of being left in the grave, being left under condemnation for their sins. The resurrection is for all mankind.

Christians believe that Jesus suffered fatal torment on the cross, paying the ultimate ransom for our sins. We believe in the empty tomb, that Christ's physical body was resurrected from the dead. We believe that Christ appeared to many people after His resurrection. We believe that He physically ascended to heaven.

First of all, Christians believe these events really happened, just as described in the gospels. Christians believe that the crucifixion was in some way necessary for the forgiveness of the sins of those who choose to believe in Jesus.

Because the gospels say that Jesus rose again, Christians believe this to be proof of Jesus' divinity and his ability to forgive sins.
