Jehovah's Witnesses as Christians DON'T do any exorcisms. We find we don't need to do any. There are no special magic powers or potions or ritual incantations which we invoke.

Basically; we teach people (who are interested) how to fend for themselves if they are harassed by the demons; - - and it works.

God's Word the Holy Scriptures state that: "The TRUTH - - will set you free." We teach people 'The truth' about many Bible things, including how they can rid themselves of the influence of the demons, or harassment from them.

Jesus warned in Matthew 7:22, 23: "Many will say to me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not . . . expel demons in your name ?' And yet then I will confess to them: I never knew you!" Therefore Jehovah's Witnesses are not impressed by what some religious leaders claim they can do.

The Apostle Paul stated in Ephesians 6:11 that if we put on the 'complete spiritual armor' (which he lists), that we can handle our own fight successfully (with God's help) against the machinations of the demons. Therefore we help people to dress themselves with that spiritual suit of armor.

Jehovah's Witnesses do not fear the demons. The demons are powerless and no match for our God Jehovah who fights for his people. They flee in defeat; and leave us alone.

Is it common to be in need of exorcism?

That is an incredibly difficult question to answer. There are many religions (not just the Abrahamic ones) that believe in the idea of demon possession. There is therefore a higher instance of exorcism being practiced in these religions. That is not to say exorcism is commonly practiced. There are few today that know or understand the entire ritual. For persons following spiritual paths that do not believe in demons, there is understandably little or no call for the ritual of exorcism.

Do you believe a demon could perform an exorcism?

Demons are not real. So no they couldn't perform an exorcism. * the question was not on whether or not demons existed. Also if they don't exist than an exorcism would have no point. Please don't answer unless you read the question properly.* * I believe that demons would not be able to perform an exorcism. Why would they perform one? It kills them like hell. Anyway they would just be able to get out of a person's body on their own. Unless they human was strong enough to take over for a while and perform an exorcism for themselves, i don't think it is really feasible.
