See what your friend thinks of the situation. If your friend does not really like the girl, then feel free to take whatever action you think is appropriate.
If, however, your friend likes the girl back, then for you to try to break them up would be a pretty scummy thing to do.
If you're already a scumbag, then I don't suppose that will bother you.
