are you in your truck?just kidding tap the end of the key when its in the ignition.with a flashlight or something usually that frees it up.pocket lint gets in the key and mixes with the grease inside the cylinder an then they get gummed up try a little lock fluid that will help other than having the cylinder rebuilt or cleaned out
try releasing the tension on the steering wheel by turning the steering wheel left or right as you turn the ignition key
I have a '97 Chrysler Cirrus it happens to sometimes. Try to turn the steering wheel back and forth as you turn the key.
Put a good key in the ignition and turn the key on.
I have a 2004 Neon and I turn it off by disconnecting the positive battery cable and then turning the ignition key to the "On" position and hold it there for 1 minute.

Put the key in the ignition. Tap it (not too hard) with a rubber mallet or similar object. Turn the key.
The ignition key should turn the disable switch.
make sure front wheels are straight when you turn car off you might have to turn wheel as hard as you can to left and turn ignition key
