Just ignore it, get on with your life but most inportantly enjoy your realationship!!!!
Tell the husband he needs to Not Tell me that; He can do Whatever he can to help herhis mother, to feel better about you. He may help avoid the most bothersome events. I discovered my MIL did okay w/ me if we didn't visit for longer than 24 hr.
