On the one hand, there are some Jewish composers who have a sense of how to appropriately combine Hebrew verses and the melodies which they compose. There are no legislated rules for this; and a person either has the proper sense and feel for it, or not.
These appropriate songs are ideally used to enliven Jewish weddings, and in similar settings, including strengthening the emotional ties of young people to their Jewish roots.
However, use of extreme volume-settings, or too-fast beats, too much bass etc., is liable to unwittingly devolve into a case of imitation of the secular culture around us. Music, like smell, is something that has a deeply-penetrating effect into the soul, and it needs to be crafted and handled with care.
