A dark Cave. In the middle, a Caldron boiling. Thunder.

Enter the three Witches.

1 WITCH. Thrice the brinded cat hath mew'd.

2 WITCH. Thrice and once, the hedge-pig whin'd.

3 WITCH. Harpier cries:-'tis time! 'tis time!

1 WITCH. Round about the caldron go;

In the poison'd entrails throw.-

Toad, that under cold stone,

Days and nights has thirty-one;

Swelter'd venom sleeping got,

Boil thou first i' the charmed pot!

ALL. Double, double toil and trouble;

Fire burn, and caldron bubble.

2 WITCH. Fillet of a fenny snake,

In the caldron boil and bake;

Eye of newt, and toe of frog,

Wool of bat, and tongue of dog,

Adder's fork, and blind-worm's sting,

Lizard's leg, and owlet's wing,-

For a charm of powerful trouble,

Like a hell-broth boil and bubble.

ALL. Double, double toil and trouble;

Fire burn, and caldron bubble.

3 WITCH. Scale of dragon; tooth of wolf;

Witches' mummy; maw and gulf

Of the ravin'd salt-sea shark;

Root of hemlock digg'd i the dark;

Liver of blaspheming Jew;

Gall of goat, and slips of yew

Sliver'd in the moon's eclipse;

Nose of Turk, and Tartar's lips;

Finger of birth-strangled babe

Ditch-deliver'd by a drab,-

Make the gruel thick and slab:

Add thereto a tiger's chaudron,

For the ingredients of our caldron.

ALL. Double, double toil and trouble;

Fire burn, and caldron bubble.

2 WITCH. Cool it with a baboon's blood,

Then the charm is firm and good.

its all there...

i think

Can witches do spells?

yes, witches do spells, but most witches do not perform spells that interfere with someone else's free ill, for example, love spells that would either break up two people, or put two unlikely people together, or a spell to harm somebody. You could put two people together with a spell if it would make them happier, but only if it would. So, my answer is yes, witches do spells, but only spells that wouldn't interfere with other people's free will.

In which country are there witches?

Okay, we have to make this clear. Witches are Pagan/Wiccans who practice spells. Witchcraft is NOT a paranormal thing. They live in every country in the world.

In the play Hamlet how many witches were there?

4 active in the book, 3 active in the movie. Author and Oz series originator Lyman Frank Baum [May 15, 1856-May 5, 1919] identified four main witches who are active in his story: Glinda the Good Witch of the South, the Good Witch of the North, and the Wicked Witches of the East and of the West. The original count was six or seven. For the world of Oz originally had four wicked witches. But Glinda and her colleague managed to take over the Quadling country of the South and the Munchkinland of the North, respectively, from the Wicked Witches who had been ruling in those two lands. In addition, Baum brings in the story of Gayelette, a beautiful princess and powerful sorceress of the North. Is she a seventh witch, in addition to the two previously Wicked Witches of the North and of the South; the two Wicked Witches of the East and of the West; and the two Good Witches of the North and of the South? Or is she the younger version of the older Good Witch of the North? In the 1902/1903 stage version of the book, Baum gives the Good Witch of the North the name Locasta. But there are inconsistencies between the play and the book versions even though Baum authored both! In the 1939 film version, there are only three witches: Glinda has become the Good Witch of the North, there's no Good Witch of the South, and there are the two Wicked Witches of the East and of the West.

How many spells do the witches say in Macbeth?

They don't really have spells. They talk about making life difficult for the master of the ship the Tiger, the guy whose wife doesn't like sharing chestnuts. They predict Macbeth and Banquo's future. They summon up spirits who make further predictions. I don't think these count as spells.

What event in act iv foreshadows Macbeth eventual downfall?

The witches show Macbeth a procession of Banquo's descendants as kings.

Yes,by Radio-active Emission. - that is what scientific individuals believe. Witches and vampyres are usually associated with being able to do this, mostly witches. However most people with a psycological accuracy are able to. There are many spells you can cast to make rain fall for example.
