Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church) believe that the spirits of all people will go to a place called the "Spirit World" after death. Here, the spirits of those who were mostly righteous will go to "Paradise" and those who were mostly wicked will go to "Prison". In the Spirit World, we are still able to make choices that will affect our salvation, including accepting Jesus Christ as our Savior.
Following the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, those who are in the Spirit World will be resurrected (their spirits and bodies will reunite). All will then receive a final judgement by Jesus Christ. Based on their acceptance of Him as their Savior and their faithfulness to His teachings, they will be assigned to one of three Kingdoms of Heaven or to "Outer Darkness" (Hell), where they will live with Satan for eternity.
Mormons believe that all people sin, and that they can be forgiven by God if they are truly repentant. Mormons also believe that even sinners will be in Heaven, and the only way to be damned to hell for eternity is to know and God and then consciously deny Him. All others will go to one of the lower kingdoms of heaven based on the severity of their sins and their willingness to repent of these sins.

There are no facts on what happens after death, if heaven exists there or not. If you believe in it you believe in it. The Mormons can be right or they can be wrong. Clearly other religions would not agree with them.As for what Mormons teach regarding this, the answer is NO. Mormons believe that as God loves all mankind, He wants to allow as many as possible to return to him and live with him in heaven. They believe that a huge majority of people will go to heaven, and only a very small part will be damned. They also believe that people may accept the gospel of Jesus Christ after death, before they are judged. In fact, the whole reason Mormons build temples is so that they can be baptized for those who have died. They believe that if they are baptized for someone who is dead, that person will have the opportunity to accept the baptism and and be saved. Is hellfire a natural disaster?
No. Hell is a place of torture that Jews, Christians, and Muslims believe is the fate of sinners after death. Hellfire is not something seen in the physical world, and whether or not you believe it exists depends on your religious beliefs.
