They are commanded not to spoil air, water, ground, plants,... as far as possible. they commanded to work for the benefit and cleanliness of the universe. Prophet Muhammad ordered Muslims not to cut a tree or spoil water. He said if the Day of Judgment comes and one is seeding a plant he should seed it.
