If they're too ill to stand or sit, they're excused from prayer. But if they can, they should pray sitting down, and just the fard prayers. God will reward them even if they want to pray but cannot.

Well, bedroom slippers are not worn inside the house. However, in islam the house is considered a very pious and therefore it should be well cleaned and maintained clean all the time because we pray inside the house and it should be considered like a mosque.
