The wisdoms & benefits from the pilgrimage are too many, here are some of what in my head:
They are beseeching for forgiving their sins, being closer from Allah & returning to their homes pure as if they are just born.
also, for increasing their faith by visiting the Holiest place in Islam & being eyewitnesses to Al- Ka'ba which they face each prayer ,despite the great feeling a Muslim has every time he looks to its magnificent image it's much more portly when being seen in real than in pictures or on tv .
Moreover, don't forget that the pilgrimage to Mecca is the fifth pillar of Islam & as long as the Muslim able to go there he has to go at least for once.
To Makkah ; exactly , to Arafat then Mosdalifah then Mina .
