Muslims pray 5 times a day in the mosque. They don't have to pray it in the mosque, they can pray any were. But it is preferred to be prayed in a mosque, and with a group for bigger reward. For each prayer they call for it 2 times. The first time they call for the prayer is called

Athan.

The

Athan

let's people know that it is time for that prayer, and they have to start getting ready, and coming in the mosque to pray. After the

Athan

they wait 5- 10 minutes then they make

Eqama.

Right after the

Eqama

all of the people in the mosque gather in a straight line to reform the prayer. Men in the front, and ladies in the back. They have to be separated. Men, and women can't be together. The Imam/ leader comes to the front row to lead them. Not because they don't know how to pray, but because in Islam there has to be a leader. The way they make

Athan,

and

Eqama

is a person says specific memorized words. He says them in the microphone so every one could hear. And start getting ready, after they have performed the prayer. They sit for few minutes, and say some holy words. After that they finish they, are able to leave the mosque, and come back for the next prayer later. The prayers are atdifferenttimes of the day.The first is a Little earlier than sun rise, and it is calledFajr/Subh.The second is at noon, and it is called

Thudr.

The Third is calledAsr,and it is 2-3 hours after

Thudr.

The fourth is called

Magrib.

It is after sun set. Last but not least the final prayer of the day is called

Esha.

Esha

is 2-3 hours after

Magrib.

They use their place of worship for worship (praying).

The Building of worship for Muslims is called in mosque English. It is called Masjid in Arabic. In this building Muslims gather for praying 5 times a day. There is a weekly gathering of Muslims in the Mosque (or Masjid) at noon on Friday where they listen to the Friday Sermon and then they do the Friday praying (that replaces the noon praying for other days).

Although Muslims go for ritual praying to mosque (or called Masjid), they can also practice their ritual praying anywhere: at home, office, open air, during flying, in ship, or at any dry clean place on the ground. Ritual prayers are to be performed as a gathering with one leading the prayer. However, if praying in a gathering is not available then it can be done individually

Muslims don't use images or statues or idols or whatsoever during their worship (salat) to Allah (God in English). It is direct praying to God without any mediator whatsoever.
