i am sicilian and my whole family has a dark complexion with dark brown hair with an auburn tint and dark brown eyes with a tint of red. I know it sounds weird but it's true! we also are about short to average length and have olive skin tones. Very outspoken people. You'd be lucky to know one;)
Anyone who has been to Sicily will be astounded at the variety of hair, eye color
and facial features of Sicilians. I too am half Sicilian, and we are blond, blue eyed people. We are from the heartland/interior of Sicily. On the coastal areas,
we saw more of the al Pacino type looks, dark skin, dark eyes, etc. So many
red heads and so many beautiful eye colors!!! Really a diverse and good looking people who are mixed with many races...greek, northern european, north african (tunisia, Morocco etc), Spanish, French, etc. there is no "typical" sicilian look...in america, we have come to see the dark eyed dark haired sicilian as typical. Nothing could be further from reality. My cousin, have the most beautiful amber eyes and hair....awesome and very fair skin.
Sicilians are famous for many things like -food -wine -people -Mafia
Italian Naturally it is Sicilian and Sicilians like to be called Sicilians they do not consider themselves Italian though Italy owns Sicily.
No, Sicilians do not have any African in them. Sicilians are genetically the same as other Italians.
Sicilians can have lighter complexions due to various historical influences, such as invasions by different groups like Greeks, Normans, Arabs, and Spaniards. Intermixing of different populations over time has resulted in a diverse range of skin tones among Sicilians. Additionally, environmental factors like sun exposure and genetics can also play a role in determining skin color.
Sicilians, like many other populations, are diverse and can have a range of genetic, historical, and cultural influences. Some Sicilians may have genetic markers associated with African heritage, given the region's history of migration and conquest. It is important to recognize the varied backgrounds and identities within the Sicilian population.
Sicily is an island in the Mediterranean Sea, part of Italy as a nation, but with its own cultural/regional identity. Sicilians are from or live in Sicily, the Island explained above. Being a region of Italy, when you say Italians you mean the whole country, Sicily included. With 'Sicilians' you refer to that specific island. It's like saying for ex. English or British, Bostonian or American.
Incorrect Sicily it Part of Italy and therefore Sicilians are also Italians.
Nope, unless you are referring to recent immigrants from Africa into Sicily. Ethnic Sicilians do not have any African ancestry and are the same as other Italians.
Lee cah tuh
Sicilians are Italian,Blessed be! )O(
Sicilians live on the island of Sicily, which is the largest island in the Mediterranean Sea and is part of Italy. The island has a rich cultural heritage and is known for its distinct traditions, cuisine, and historical sites. The capital city of Sicily is Palermo, but there are many other cities and towns across the island where Sicilians reside.
Sicilians do not actually have the color black blood. They get the expression black blood from there ancestors being or African American orgins. So in this aspect, yes, they have black blood.
