What do adult polar bears eat?

The average adult Polar Bear, is an eating machine. They need to eat as often as possible, and as much rich sources of fatty foods as are available. The are carnivores, but they will eat kelp, berries, and other oddities, when the pickings are slim. Such as birds, waterfowl, eggs, reindeer, and small rodents. Their preferred food is the seal. But that doesn't keep them from hunting walrus, and caribou. Also, the Polar Bear is not above scavenging, and in fact, makes many meals from the carcasses of beached whales, including the seaweed embedded rotten blubber. They can be very patient hunters, and will wait for hours, completely motionless, at a seal's breathing hole in the ice, just for the chance to snag a seal when it pops up for air.
