Best Answer

Carbon exists as carbon dioxide in the atmosphere which is absorbed by plants during photosynthesis. All food chains start with plants so herbivores get carbon by eating plants and carnivores get carbon by eating herbivores.

Can plants live without man and animals without plants?

No, because man and animals produce carbon dioxide and plants needs carbon dioxide.

What gas does man and animals given off when they exhale?

Carbon dioxide, CO2.

What is given off by plants wich is needed by man and animals?

Oxygen. Plants take in the Carbon Dioxide that man and animals exhale, and give off oxygen.

What gas is giving off by animals and man and the gas neededby plants?

Carbon Dioxide

How would the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere change if there were no plants or animals?

Plants and all kinds of vegetation, including grass, trees and rain forests absorb carbon dioxide and store it. About half the weight of a tree is carbon. Trees can store carbon for hundreds of years. Animals, including man, breathe out carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. Carbon is also released from soil, oceans and from rotting vegetation. This is all part of the natural carbon cycle. One animal, man, adds a lot of extra carbon dioxide every day by burning fossil fuels (coal, oil and natural gas).If there were no trees or plants to remove carbon dioxide, and no animals to breathe out CO2, and no man to burn fossil fuels, the carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere would probably rise very slowly.

How do animals get carbon?

Animals get carbon by eating plants or algae or other animals that have eaten plants.

Where do animals obtain carbon?

From the plants or animals they eat.

Do animal use carbon?

Animals are carbon based lifeforms; their celular structure is based on carbon atoms. Animals consume food made of organic molecules, which are based on carbon atoms. Animals breath out carbon dioxide, CO2. Yes, animals use carbon.

What does cellular respiration play in the carbon cycle?

Animals produce carbon dioxide. Animals produce carbon dioxide

What gas is given off by animals at daytime to the atmosphere?

Animals give off a number of gasses during Day and night, most notably Carbon dioxide and methane gas. Oxygen is needed by man and animal.

Are animals primary consumers of carbon dioxide?

Animals emit carbon dioxide. Plants consume carbon dioxide.

How do animals gets the carbon they need?

All organic materials contain carbon. Animals get their carbon by eating plants and other animals, such as vegetables, cereals and eggs.
