Snails usually eat the algae in the tank which is why they are so useful for keeping it clean. If your tank does not have enough algae and other matter for them to eat they will die. Special food is available for tank snails and they also eat fish food.
Well, it is easy. First you need to take your fish out, if you have any in the tank. Then, buy a divider, to divide the tank into to places. Afterwards, put your snail and fish in the two different places...AND... You are done!
My aquarium snail simply crawled up and down the sides of the aquarium, eating away at any growth on the insides. She out-lived the fish and even had snail babies (and I fed her nothing).
they , too need water like a fish. since a water snail is really a slug in a shell it needs mousterisg an\d water s aperfect spot! THE END
If it's an aggresive fish, probably not because it would hurt the snail.
no. they live in mud.
Yes snails can live in a fish tank, and they can breed.
well it depends on what kind of fish it is and what kind of snails it is
I have a 10 gallon tank and it holds 3 indian dwarf puffer fish/pea puffers. they love snail cuz they are small enough to suck out the snails. if you have a snail problem i would remove the fish from your tank and put a snail killing chemical in. i have also heard of snail traps you can put in your tank and not have to remove your fish. i would at fast because snails multiply VERY FAST, or you can smash them with your fingers. Also there are such things as ASSASSIN snails that will eat brown snails.
No, you can only sell them, give them away, or put them in tanks in your house.
Snails should eat cuttle fish, but the only place that you could find cuttle fish is the ocean. If you not able to get some cuttle fish, the best thing that a snail would eat is lettuce or anything you would put in a salad. Snails will also eat tree bark or leaves, but if you get the food yourself, soak it overnight to get the chemicals off.
you can put in sea snails and more brightly fish that you cant get with a heater in your tank
Snails eat anything that u put in salad
No.
They'll eat leftover fish food.
I recommend anything with water and space for the snails to eat. Basically any freshwater fish tank with be okay for the snails. I must tell you though, never to put snails in with beta fish because sometimes the beta fish will try to eat the snail so i recommend putting them in with goldfish or some other freshwater fish. I have a 10 gallon freshwater tank with a common goldfish and a golden inca snail and they live happily together. I hope this helps!
absolutely not! goldfishes cant live in chlorinated water. you need a water conditioner to remove the chlorine and ammonia from the water
