Beagles are a very smart breed. If you take time to train your Beagle and if you are CONSISTANT with that training than they are the best dogs in the world. If you do not train them then they can be naughty, just like any animal.
Be sure to train your Beagle not to bark in the house. They're bark can get very annoying. That is the leading cause for owners getting rid of their Beagle. We have taught our Beagles to use their "indoor voice" when inside.
They are great with kids! We have a 6 year old and a four year old, both girls. They are so patient with our kids. You can tell they are not happy with what the kids put them through sometimes, but they are very patient and take most of it. When they simply can't handle it anymore they will get up and go to their crates. Our children know that their crates are their "safe haven" and not to bother them in there.
Crate training is crutial for Beagles, for all dogs really. They need that safe place to go when they have had too much. It also keeps them happy knowing they have their own space.
There are many books on raising Beagles. I suggest you read one or two before you get a puppy!
The opposite of naughty would be well-behaved, or good. For Santa Claus, the opposite of naughty is "nice."

Really like that question! Well harriers are a little bit taller than normal beagles beagle harries are original from France and beagles are from England. Harrier needs more exercise than beagles and beagles need more space to live in. Both of them are beautiful and really good for hunting rabbits. Beagles are kinda more popular
