food and water. I feed mine 6 pellets of food and keep him in 2 gallons of water.
Beta fish are actually quite easy to manage. Typically, a beta fish should be fed pellets that are specified for it, it should be given these pellets either once or twice a day. You do not keep your fish in a filtered fish bowl; you can keep it in a regular fish bowl. If you do keep your beta fish in a regular fish bowl, I would suggest cleaning the bowl at least twice a month.
Betta fish do very well in aquariums as they get along surprisingly well with other fish of their average size size. Betta fish will live longer when they live in a filtered aquarium above 3 gallons. There are many positives to your Betta's well-being when in an aquarium
In a community aquarium you may have either-or but not together:
One male Betta
One female Betta
Three or more female Bettas (never two)
Also remember that fish who resemble male Bettas or have long, colorful fins -such as guppies- may be bullied or even killed by your Betta. Male or female.
mmm... your question is worded a lil funny but i think i know what you mean and are asking for...
Betta's are a unique type of fish, that unlike most that extract the oxygen they need to live, from the water bettas can actually take it directly from the air. because of this they are capable of living in extreme conditions. due to the fact they have two ways of getting their oxygen so they dont need any type of device that will keep the water oxygenated however they do need oxygen and thats why they go up to the surface and breath it in.
The Betta needs a small tank with a filter and air going into it, just like the rest of the tropical fish. He normally lives in a dark sheltered spot in the water. Put some greenery in the tank. Do not put another male in with him, can put a female betta in with him. Make sure gravel on the bottom with an undergravel filter or some other type of filter. Water temperature should be at approximately 78 degrees. Watch for fungus on his fins.
A tank and a pump
Sorry, type in: how do betta fish live?
No, they can live alone or with other female bettas. They might bite each other but won't kill.
Yes they would be fine (if they are plants that are ment to live underwater) for the betta splenden aka Siamese fighter fish (assuming that is the betta you are refering to) as it is a tropical fish
