A tomato is a fruit, but more commonally used as a vegetable in culinary situations
Yes. Anytime you cook a vegetable, especially by boiling, you lose nutrients.
A fruitAnything that you think is a vegetable (like squash and tomatoes) but has seeds, is a fruit.Remember: fruits have seeds, vegetables DO NOT!!!
It's considered a fruit, vegetable, or potato. I think it's more of a potato.
potatoes contain more catalase than carrots
There are a number of fruits, vegetables and berries that are not actually what we think of them to be. A strawberry is actually not a berry at all. It is the swollen bed of the actual flower. The tiny spots on the strawberry are nuts. A Tomato is a Fruit, Not a vegetable. A Banana is difficult. It can be classified as a nut. A Potato is not a vegetable, although we think of it as one. It is a root-fruit, but not a fruit either :-) I am sure other contributors can give more examples. Please add below.
Fruit salads and meat salads are not vegetable salads, but may have one or more vegetables added into them.
it depends on the fruit and the vegetable
One would classify a tomato as fruit officially although it is considered and used as a vegetable for culinary purposes. It is thought of more as a vegetable when cooking because it is used in savory dishes.
