If it is does, the cats eat fresh fish... ^^
they eat cat food
Cats are strict carnivores. They enjoy most meat in the way of poultry, rabbit, beef, lamb and fish.
Cats should regularly eat cat food, which supplies them with everything their body needs. Generally speaking, the best cat foods are the ones with a very high, named-meat content. They should be labelled by source, such as: Chicken, Turkey, Rabbit, Lamb, Tuna, etc., as the first, or first two ingredients.
Aside from meat, the amount of moisture in a cat's is probably the most important part. While strictly not a food item, cats have evolved to get all their needed moisture from their food. Canned or pouched food has anywhere between 60 to 80% water. Seeing as in the wild a cat's prey is around 65%-75% water, wet food provides a cat with more than enough water each day.
Cats also eat other things if they have access to outside, such as mice. Also, cats naturally will eat bugs around the house or outdoors, such as Spiders and flies. Although cats will eat bugs, it should not become a meal for them. Be sure you still feed them cat food daily.
if your cat is an outdoors cat they tend to eat rodents or mice other wise pet foods
cat food.buy some at any super market.
Cats mostly eat meat. They are natural carnivores. However, they do need a small amount of certain grains, greens, and vegetables also. If you try to feed a cat grains and veggies, they most likely will not eat them, (though my cat LOVES asparagus! Haha!).
Cats get their "greens", in the wild, from ingesting mice, rabbits, squirrels, etc., which eat the greens and most times have them in their belly and digestive systems when eaten by cats. When one sees a cat eating grass, they are missing certain vitamins or minerals in their diets, but eating grass like that will tend to make them sick instead.
Most store-bought catfoods have the proper amount of the things a cat needs. I think "Purina" and maybe some other brands even have "Indoor Cat" formulas which are logically better for an indoor cat because it contains more of the "greens" than regular cat food.
You see, if you have an outside cat, even though you have food for him, they are still natural hunters and WILL still catch mice, moles, snakes, insects, and the other critters mentioned above, so they get their "greens", anyway.
Its best to get the proper formula for your cat from a store or your veteranarians office, (though the vet's food is normally more expensive.)
I hope this answer was of help!
cats are carnivores meaning they get what they need from meat and organ meat a good cat food does not have wheat, rice or corn
Cats are strict carnivores, so get all their nutrients from meat which are high in Protein and Fat, and cats use these two nutrients as their primary source of energy. A domestic cat's diet should consist predominantly of meat. Cat foods should have a good named meat source (labeled as Chicken, Turkey, Rabbit, Lamb, Tuna, etc.) as the first, or first three, ingredients on the list.
Cats are strict carnivores, which means they get their nutrients from meat only. A cat that has access to outside will eat mice, rats, small birds, frogs and other small animals. Pet cats are usually fed on commercial cat food, but these foods still need to be very high in meat in order for the cat to get enough nutrition.
