Caterpillar's eat leaves but it depends on what type of Caterpillar it is .There are many types of species , some caterpillar's will eat other insects as well. But most common caterpillar's just eat leaves. It may vary into other leaves it's also good to feed a Caterpillar Lettuce and cauliflower as a treat .

∙ 13y agoCaterpillars eat the leaves off trees, flowering plants and others all with there powerful jaws. I keep a yellow caterpillar at my house and I sometimes feed them these things and they eat it. Sometimes I put a little bit of grass in the container and they eat some of it.
