Caterpillar's eat leaves but it depends on what type of Caterpillar it is .There are many types of species , some caterpillar's will eat other insects as well. But most common caterpillar's just eat leaves. It may vary into other leaves it's also good to feed a Caterpillar Lettuce and cauliflower as a treat .
Caterpillars eat the leaves off trees, flowering plants and others all with there powerful jaws. I keep a yellow caterpillar at my house and I sometimes feed them these things and they eat it. Sometimes I put a little bit of grass in the container and they eat some of it.
They climb up a plant and eat a leaf.....
I think wasps, prayingmantas, spiders and sometimes if a caterpillar's pupa is clumsy then the ants eat it.
caterpillas, well thats what was in my salad bowl from pizza hut before! :s
Female ones are but male ones aren't. The male ones noormaly feed on caterpillas.
Caterpillas do not become butterflys.
Yes, monarch butterfly caterpillars eat milkweed, which makes them poisonous. Different types of caterpillars eat different types of plants. Even butterflies stick with one type of flower and won't drink nectar from any other species.
I am growing Milkweed , and Monarch butterflies will only lay her eggs on them because monarch caterpillas can only eat this type of plant. :) I hope I helped everyone with this question :) Anymore question inbox me on facebook : Gustav V-Sloan
