Ideally it should be something meat based. This includes scrambled eggs, cooked/raw meats, meat baby food. Most ferrets enjoy a lick of olive oil or Ferretone oil supplement.

They are obligate carnivores so any fruit/vegetable/grain-based treats should be avoided.

Ferrets don't necessarily need snacks or treats (but can be used as a reward in training). Ferrets are strict carnivores (meat eaters) and treats should be meat based. Ferrets cannot properly digest fruits, vegetables or any plant matter. Most ferrets do not recognize other food other than what they are used to eating. They might eat some chicken or eggs, also treats made especially for ferrets.

Ferrets eat Ferret food, of course. There are diet Ferret food brands out there if you'd feel more comfortable giving you Ferret that. Or just regular Ferret food, which they love.

Ferrets love treats. I have heard that they can have fruits but then I have heard that they can't so I'm not so sure on that. They are just like cats so they can have tuna and fish as a treat or dinner really. I had gotten my Ferret this treat that has raisins and little bits of bananas in it and she enjoys that a lot! I would definitely recommend that, even though I am very sorry to say I'm not exactly sure what it's called right now. I got it at Walmart!

Hope this helped!

Ferrets are obligate carnivores and can only digest meat. Treats can be items like cooked/raw poultry, cooked/raw eggs, salmon oil, Ferretone, and chicken/turkey baby food.

Most commercial ferret treats contain grains or sugars and should be avoided
