Players are required to wear a uniform; This consists of a shirt or jersey, shorts (or usually a skirt for girls & women), and socks. This is so players and umpires can tell the players of one team from the other. Additionally, you will need suitable footwear for the surface being used and it is common for associations to require a mouthguard and shinpads of all players. The captain also needs to wear an armband or other such object to show this. Most teams can get away with just matching shirts or jerseys, but at higher and especially international levels players on the same team must have virtually everything in common, their shoes must be of a darker colour (to contrast with the ball) and any extra personal gear must be in keeping with the team colours of the uniform part they are near e.g. at the Beijing 2008 Olympics, some players were reprimanded for having spandex shorts of a different colour visible beneath their uniform.
Most players will wear the shirt, socks and shorts (or a skirt for most female players) of a uniform, plus shinguards (under the socks) and a mouthguard. Some use special footwear designed for use on artificial turf where necessary but many wear sneakers or sportshoes. A goalkeeper will wear numerous pads and other equipment.
Depending on the league or governing body regulations but the normal requsit is:
Shirt (all team to wear same colour)
Skort or Skirt (all team to wear same colour)
Socks (all team to wear same colour)
Astro Trainers.
Most Field Hockey players just wear cleats, shin guards and a mouth guard.
The goalie wears MUCH more (and we ALL love it dearly).
Typically a skort (skirt with shots under) and a sleeveless shirt or tanktop, but shorts and t-shirt uniforms are also acceptable.
for girls usually a skirt and a t-shirt or a thick strap singlet and for boys shorts and a singlet
Helmet, neck protector, body armour, leg guards, kickers, gloves, elbow/ knee protectors
Most leagues and competitions require that females wear skirts, but there is nothing in the rules of hockey that says a player must wear one. only girls if they want to
Not all field hockey players wear skirts, to begin with. Very few female players wear bodysuits either. There are plenty of better solutions than a one-piece item which does not do everything it is needed for.
No, lacrosse is not the same thing as field hockey. In field hockey you use a stick with a curved base on the ground and hit it to your team mate, or you can dribble it up the field. The goal in field hockey is much bigger than a lacrosse goal. In lacrosse you throw and catch a ball using a stick with a net and you can run with the ball in you stick. Lacrosse is a much faster paced game too. In lacrosse you wear eye protection and a mouth guard, in field hockey you wear shin guards and a mouth guard. Both sports are really fun.
Goalies wear the same types of shoe as every other player.

Turf hockey is field hockey.
It means nothing in field hockey.
To my knowledge, there is no such thing as a slide in field hockey.
