No gerbils are originally from dessert places like Mongolia so they naturally conserve water so they don't need to drink much and they don't need to urinate as often as other rodents.
Most gerbils take time to drain down a bottle of water. They usually drink at nighttime and only a little bit. After all, gerbils are desert creatures. If they still don't drink, try changing the type of water in the dessert they get all the liquid they need from food.
Absolutely. Just like any living thing, gerbils need water to live, too.
First they drink it and yes
Gerbils need a water bottle with a sipper tube for proper hydration.
I would take it to a vet right away. When gerbils don't eat it's usually a bad sign.
yes they do but they are so small that you can barley see them but all they do with them is drink anyway lol
Gerbils should not drink lemonade, as it contains high levels of sugar and acidity that can be harmful to their health. Their digestive systems are not equipped to handle such sugary and acidic beverages. It's best to provide them with fresh water to keep them hydrated and healthy.
The gerbil lives in a desert environment. They get most of their water from their food but still need water to drink. They can stand heat. They won't pee a lot because they can't waste water in the desert. Gerbils need exercise because they move fast. Also they need to chew. Like all rodents gerbils teeth grow quickly and they need to wear them down. Gerbils tails, kind of like lizards, will break at the tip. If you grab the very end of a gerbils tail, it will break off with a lot of blood so as to distract their predator. Unfortunately, it will not grow back. This will not harm the gerbil, only help them if they're in danger.
Well gerbils live in deserts, they live under rocks and barely ever drink water. they burrow under ground and come out to eat flies and bugs people started to call them as pets and that's where they originated from.
No because cow milk has to much chemicals in to the milk to make it stay more than a day.
Well, it's actually spelled gerbils not girblis. Gerbils eat like seed mixes and small cut up fruits and vegetables which for the seed mixes, you can get at a pet store. I don't know if gerbils can swim or not, but I would suggest that you don't try. you wouldn't want to hurt your pet!
