Global warming is causing the glaciers to disappear. This is how they are connected.
Global warming
Global warming is melting the glaciers throughout the earth's surface.
they will melt
yes
Global warming.
They melt!
In global warming, the glaciers would melt, then they would flow into the ocean, then they could affect ocean currents, changing the climate, in some areas. And with global cooling, there would be more glaciers, depleting the ocean waters.
global warming melting of glaciers
No iinfact there shrinking from global warming
Glaciers do not cause global warming, in fact, their white and shiny surface (albedo) reflects a lot of the sun's radiation; this prevents some of the warming. When glaciers melt, they reveal dark rocks and soil underneath, which absorb much more of the sun's heat. This is called a positive feedback of global warming.
It means that the world is heating up.
It's logical. If the earth is warming, and scientists (and our own experiences) tell us that it is, then one of the effects of a warming atmosphere is that it warms things in the atmosphere. Glaciers are exposed to the air, the air is warmer, and so the glaciers melt. Therefore, global warming is responsible for melting the world's glaciers.
