The only thing I can think about is that they both have things to help them fly.

In general, both are designed by the same FAA Regulations. They are required to complete certain tests before either one is certified for use in the public.

The fuselage structures are similar construction. Some Airplanes are designed to be pressurized whereas helicopters usually are not. But they both have the same materials in their structures.

The navigation instruments and engine control instruments are basically the same. The controls are not.
