New Zealand has a very varied landscape in its moderate compass. Ranging from deep glacial-carved lakes and fjords in the south, to volcanic cones in the north, complete with several active volcanoes. Overall the land that is not farmed is well forested, but there are lots of scenic areas. Use of the mountains and lakes is for backpacking, skiing and boarding, kayaking and so on.

Our homes in New Zealand have a front yard, and back yard (which range in sizes e.g a large backyard with gardens, or a courtyard) It is also VERY common to have off street parking and lawn.
