The"zoonosis" is not so much a "disease" itself specifically, but more a term used to describe lots of different diseases that normally make animals sick, but can make humans sick too. They are transferred, in one way or another, from animals to humans, or the opposite, from humans to animals, and this is sometimes called "reverse zoonosis". The animals carrying the diseases can be wild or domesticated animals, and the infection can be air-born or through physical transmission. But the term itself is not the actual disease, but more the word used to describe a type, or group of diseases. For more details, please see site listed below.
