What do i do if a friend keeps bringing up things i did wrong (recent or past) to other people as if he is just trying to get attention from them or get them to like him and not me?

If truly you have changed from those wrong things. It is best to call his/her attention that is not healthy for him/her to discuss those issues outside because you no longer do them again
