Well, first of all, I would advise you to tell your boyfriend that you feel people are
making fun of you and would like him to help defend you.
It is possible he doesn't know you are hurt.
Next, I would defend yourself and make it clear that you do not like what
someone else is saying. Walk away if you need to, but try to keep a sense
of humor. Maybe those who are making the jokes also don't know you are
feeling bad. It is ok to feel bad, but don't wait for your boyfriend to notice.
Boyfriends can be oblivious and nervous and afraid to confront others too.
It would be good to talk about it with him and ask him to do something when
a new situation occurs. See if your boyfriend is willing to be there for you next
time, and show him some appreciation for the things he does do.
If you do all this and he disrespects your requests and makes fun of you as well...
then find someone else...BUT this is a last resort. Believe in yourself and do what
is best for yourself.
