We were discussing it in class, and we remembered it said that johnny and ponyboy had smoke in the back of the church, but the fire had started in the front of the church, because the children were in the back. You also gotta remember that there were most likely matches in there, and children sometimes play with them and don't put them out. In the book Johnny wasn't at the church.-_-
