John Robert Powers has a great curriculum that is updated yearly, auditions by Real agents, casting directors, AR's from record labels, managers, magazines, and many other opportunities You will hear mixed reviews about whether to go or not to go, but the real question is, why would you not want to be in front of those type of auditions if you come from an area that is not a big industry city. JRP has been providing opportunities for over 85yrs and still is. If you read about people that were not picked, quit, or couldn't afford it, their first response is to use the word scam. Well is it a scam if you look the people up that come out, and they have the real background that was originally told? NO. Kids get a lot out of learning confidence in front of the camera that they can use in every day life. Communications taught to kids is huge for society and for a bright future. So instead of a child sitting at home watching TV get them in to an exciting program and get them away from those Video Games and get them busy.

Yes, John Robert Powers really is a scam. I know that because i auditioned there and got a callback. On the phone the person said we had to give the full amount of money by the first week. She was really pushy about it and my parents knew they were a scam. It might not be a scam in the USA but it is in Canada for sure. The guys at JRP said they've been in the US before Canada so I'm guessing its a scam there too.

They have many locations, some that have been around for over 50 years in the same location. You will hear good and bad about JRP but the bottom line is that how could a company be around for over 90 years and not be real? They would have been shut down by now I believe. So do yourself a favor and make your own opinion about the JRP you go to. Don't listen to the hear say and mad parents who's kids did not get accepted or could not afford to go. It is a franchise so keep that in mind and it is a bit pricey. You know what they say though, "you get what you pay for".
