Some dinosaurs like the Tyrannosaurus Rex tears the prey using its large teeth. Others that are a bit smaller sometimes use their sharp claws like Deinochysus.
Plant eating dinosaurs foraged for food. Carnivorous dinosaurs hunted for prey.
Other than a giant meteorite, the climate could have changed of volcanic eruptions, causing all the plants to die and that means all the plant-eating dinosaurs would disapear and also without prey all the meat-eating dinosaurs would also disapear.
Zebra do not prey they are grass and plant eater zebra are prey to any meat eating animal.
Well the herbivores, or dinosaurs that didn't eat meat, got their food either off the trees, water, or ground, depending on the dinosaur. The Longneck had a very long neck designed to eat off of the trees. However, the much smaller dinosaurs ate shrubs off of the ground. Some even ate plants that grew in water. The Carnivores, or the dinosaurs that ate meat, either killed their prey or ate an animal that had already died. They had sharper teeth than the herbivores for killing animals and eating the meat.
mainly sharks and other meat eating sea creatures
utahraptor would be taking flesh peice by peice eating small peices while tyrannosaurus would be ripping flesh medium sized and could eat small prey whole. utahrapter also probably scavenged for chicks of other dinosaurs and eggs. tyrannosaurus ate newborn and juvenile sauropods.
panthers catch their prey by pouncing on them and then ripping them apart.
Yes, just like there are more plant eating animals than meat eating animals in the modern animal kingdom. The reason for this is that a species needs to maintain its numbers above a certain critical point. Below this point there aren't enough mates to make off-springs and extinction becomes imminent. There is a general cycle which controls the number of carnivores:prey ratio, and it's a bit like this: If hunters (carnivores) eat too many prey, then, there is a shortage of prey for the rest of the hunters. The hunters don't have enough food and therefore start to die out. When this happens the population of prey is no longer in danger and so increases. When there is an abundance of prey, the number of hunters increase once again and the cycle repeats itself.
Because they are hunters and meat eaters and need them for killing prey and ripping the carcass apart
they ate plants and some meat they were flesh eating dinosaurs

Albertasaurus was a large, meat eating dinosaur closely related to T-rex but they lived a couple million years earlier. They would have hunted herbivorous dinosaurs such as Edmontosaurus, Saurolophus, and Hypacrosaurus.
