Melee was a medieval game that was most played in the twelfth and thirteenth centuries. The Melee game consisted of knights fighting one another on foot or mounted (horse). This game could either be divided into 2 sides or fighting as a free for all. The object of the game was to capture opposing knights so they could be ransomed, this could be a very poofitable business for skilled knights. Melee was fought with normal weapons and fought with as much danger as a normal battle. Melee was at most times more dangerous than Jousting.
