Difference between Black mild steel and bright mild steel?

from what i can gather, which isn't alot:Cold Rolled Steel Strip is produced, as the term suggests by the further rolling of strip produced by the hot strip mills.Prior to cold rolling, the mill scale has to be removed, normally by the Pickling Process which uses mechanical manipulation (around small diameter rolls) and acid to dissolve the surface scale. The surface is then washed to remove the acid and a light oil added to prevent rusting.Mild steel sheet is manufactured generally in two grades, cold rolled and hot rolled.Hot rolled mild steel sheet is the initial product produced by the steel mill as a downstream process prior to further processing such as cold rolling.Hot rolled mild steel sheet has a mill scale which is usually black in colour. Hence the common name Black Mild Steel Sheet. Black mild steel sheet is commonly used in fabrication shops, it is more economical than cold rolled mild steel sheet.Black mild steel sheet will usually require more preparation work prior to any finishing system being applied.Cold rolling is done to:Reduce the thicknessImprove the surface finishImprove the thickness tolerancesTo offer a range of "tempers"As a preparation for surface coating

How is the Walking crane an industrial machine?

They are a product of heavy industry, are -pre-assembled in factories, then field stripped and taken out to the job site ( they are far too cumbersome to move there under their own power) Certainly they are an industrial product. These machines werfe invented back around l9l3, too late for the Panama Canal but very effective in operating in swamps and such job sites as strip mines. In some categories they are the world"s largest crane-type machines, in the Dragline role. My dad saw a steam walking crane that had a huge cab and stack, and of the walking type ( the ground shook when that thing moved!) a drawback to the type is they cannot lift or carry loads when in motion, which is not a problem in a strip mine, quarry, or swamp, but would be a serious handicap say, in a ship yard. They were developed by the Monighan Machine company, later acquired by Bucyrus. Only a relative handufl of manufacturers have made these huge and cumbersome machines: Monighan, Bucyrus-Erie, Marion power shovel, P&H and Page- plus those evolved in the Soviet Union. Baba Yaga with a hard hat! sorry, but she did have a travelling hut, right.

What are wire strippers used for?

A simple manual wire stripper is a pair of opposing blades much like scissors or wire cutters. The addition of a center notch makes it easier to cut the insulation without cutting the wire. This type of wire stripper is used by rotating it around the insulation while applying pressure in order to make a cut around the insulation. Since the insulation is not bonded to the wire, it then pulls easily off the end. This is the most versatile type of wire stripper. Another type of manual wire stripper is very similar to the simple design previously mentioned, except this type has several notches of varying size. This allows the user to match the notch size to the wire size, thereby eliminating the need for twisting. Once the device is clamped on, the remainder of the wire can simply be pulled out, leaving the insulation behind.

Is mining coal mining good or bad?

It can be either one, depending on how the mining is conducted. In past years, areas were strip mined, and waste materials from the mining were left to pile up- in many cases, unsafely. Mining regulations in the US now require that a mine post a monetary bond to restore the land after mining ends. That includes putting topsoil back, and planting plants.
