What do new born mice do if they don't have a mom?
Hand rearing abandoned baby mice is very difficult. I've heard that it can supposedly be done with kitten formula/milk replacer. They require feedings every couple of hours- even through the night and warmth.
If you know of another mouse who has pups around the same age/size, you might be able to work them into her litter or if she has just weened her pups, she may take on the "adopted" pups. Wild mouse babies should not be "adopted" by a pet mouse and vice versa as this could be dangerous.
As you might gather; it's a tough situation and many babies don't make it. :( Their best chance is with their own mouse mommy.
