i live in Japan and we call our grandma "obaachan" its a cute way of saying it i guess if your rich and you have a scary grandma you can call her "obaasama" ...
my other close grandma is dead now but i used to call her "mamachan" its cause my grandpa called her "mama" so yeah i hoped this helped
