What are the people like in Italy?

i'm italian and i can answer very well this question. there are two kinds of italian people, depending on their culture's level: good/high culture level and the middle/low one. the first kind doesn't use to care about material things as label's clothes, cars, high level standard of lifestyle. the second one goes very crazy for expansive clothes, cars and high level of lifestyle (often so high as they can't catch up with it), so they use to spend a lot of money in those things because they like tv as a drug, and everything the tv tell them, they believe! every italian with a low level of culture is very controled by tv, mass media, enterprises (in few words: from everyone has to sell something). they try to resolve their empty life with stupid material things. and the politicians and the mass media like this kind of italians, because they are stupid as sheep, and in fact the sheep can be controled very well, the most smart and intelligent people in Italy try to go out from the Italy looking for a better society which could help them to live in a better standard of life (i'm speaking about culture, not salary). who has got good ideas in italy can't find space! if Leonardo da vinci, michelangelo, marconi, fermi, were born now in italy,in the italy of this time, they wouldn't be artists, scientists, genious, but just people interested about clothes, brands, labels and material things, because the italian society now is producing (and wants) this kind of people. people who don't think, but work and buy untill their death.
