The age difference between Bill Wyman (then Rolling Stone) and Mandy Smith was 34 years. He was 47 and she 13 when they first started dating with her mother's permission. The press coverage of this and their subsequent marriage 5 years later supports the view that the Press thought this was a significant difference in age for a relationship. Their marriage only lasted two years, allegedly due to Mandy's poor health.
