While they are foals, they drink milk. After weaning water is the prefered beverage for horses and ponies. Some horses like beer (not recommended) and some like soda (I have one that likes soda, also not recommeded) so water is a good thing to stick to. Make sure your pony always has fresh, clean water and free choice mineral salt lick.
