∙ 11y agoPorcupines taste what they smell like. They smell like a bum that has been eating pine bark. The meat is the darkest meat that I've ever chewed on. It's very juicy and soft meat, almost like chewy fat from a ribeye. It's very musky and strong flavored. The flavor isn't even remotely close to any other animal I've eaten. I will never eat one again unless I'm starving.

There were some previous questions asking about the smell of porcupines, and being an expert on such animals i think I would know whether they had a smell to them.
