What is the salary of a Smokejumper for the National Forestry Service
What I learned from being a smokejumper is that if a group of people are committed to a common goal and everyone works as hard as they can many great things can be accomplished.
There are approximately 400 smokejumpers in the USA. Smokejumpers are highly skilled firefighters who are specially trained to provide rapid response to wildfires in remote areas by parachuting into the fire zone.
Good smokejumpers can be found by contacting rural fire stations. They usually have contacts with smokejumpers whom they have employed in the past, and provide first hand information regarding their qualities.
Smokejumpers undergo rigorous training that includes wildland firefighting techniques, parachuting skills, and survival tactics. They participate in physical conditioning programs to build strength and endurance, as the job requires navigating challenging terrains. Additionally, they receive instruction in fire behavior, safety protocols, and teamwork to effectively manage and combat wildfires from the ground. Continuous training and drills are essential to maintain their skills and readiness for emergency situations.
1st year Smokejumpers make 10 dollars a hour
they do not do any thing and just die some of them kill each other and some of them die .
