Soldiers are trained very intensely, therefore, they are able to eat using their hands and sleep by closing their eyes. However, since they are so highly trained to do this, I do not recommend that you try either of these methods as it may lead to severe damage.

They slept in the trenches as they had to keep their position to keep watch to see if anyone was coming. Sometimes they had to take it in turns to stay awake and keep guard.

Soldiers may try to sleep in any place that they are able to when possible. Some soldiers may sleep in a trench, while others may be able to find slumber in a tent.
