The VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) on a 1964 Chevrolet Impala consists of 13 characters that convey specific information about the vehicle. The first character indicates the manufacturer (Chevrolet), while the second character designates the model (Impala). The third character represents the type of vehicle, followed by the engine type, assembly plant, and a unique serial number. Together, these elements help identify the vehicle's origin, specifications, and production details.
