That depends on what you mean.
The doctor can say whatever he or she would like to you personally, they have the right to free speech after all. As far as releasing this information, the HIPAA forbids a doctor from releasing your test results to anyone without your consent. So if you want to keep your test results to yourself, that is up to you, so long as you did not already sign a release for them.
The only exception to this I know of is if you hurt yourself on a job, and the employer requested it. To the best of my knowledge this only applies if you signed a release when you took the job for just such an occasion. Employers don't like to lose money because you were under the influence in the workplace and hurt yourself.
Doctors can recommend the use of marijuana.
The law says yes but doctors say no. you can Google the scientific facts about it but the science of it says no it is not a narcotic but the laws say it is. but of course the laws don't involve science or doctors so its obvious what the answer is. i trust doctors over corrupted political and government officials.
doctors can perscribe marijuana to canser patients
In most states, Marijuana is legalized through medical use. Doctors and prescribe marijuana, but cannot give it to them. Until recently doctors recommended (California, for example) that they find a safe way of getting it. Now in California they have privately owned stores that will sell all types of marijuana to people who possess a medical marijuana license. Massachusettes will be voting to be the first state to fully legalize and sell marijuana to residents of Massachusettes, by the government.
