What do the flags mean which occasionally appear on the top of answers to questions?

These occasionally appear on the top of questions if there is some kind of a problem with the content which requires further comment to make it more balanced, or to reduce its inflammatory nature.
Such flags are put on by supervisors who have knowledge relating to the relevant question which would lead them to believe such a flag is necessary.

How do you remove the mark for improvement?
Only supervisors cam remove flags. Questions or answers can be flagged for a variety of reasons - usually because something needs improving - or the question/answer could be offensive. for this reason - 'ordinary' users don't have the authority to remove flags from questions or answers.
Can you remove a flag at any time?
Indeed you can. If you want to edit or remove flags, go to your Site tools, and there should be something marked "Flagged questions". Click that, and you will be directed to all the flag questions, where you can remove, edit, or add flags onto questions and/or answers.
Is DingoBot annoying when you ask a perfectly good question?
Dingobot does not flag questions, he flags answers. If your question has been flagged and there has been no answer, then a human user has flagged it.
How do you remove flags from questions?
Only supervisors can remove flags from questions (or answers). If you feel a question or answer has been flagged wrongly - contact the category supervisor (they're show on the right of the screen) - via their message board, with a request to have the flag removed. The supervisor will usually look at the question - and remove the flag if necessary.
