ANSWER There are so many initials today it gets confusing!! An M.D. is a medical doctor. A P.A. is a physicians assistant, who generally has more training than an R.N. (registered nurse.) A D.O. is a doctor of osteopathy who has as much training as an M.D. but is more in tune to treating the WHOLE person, not just the illness. Then we have R.N.A.P.R.N which is a registered nurse who have extensive training and works closely with the doctor as the P.A. does and also can write prescriptions as can the M.D. and the P.A. Hope I didn't confuse you further!! <<<ADR>>>
