Close Call, (applied to a variety of near-accident situations), Angel Feathers, Angel Duster, all of these have other meanings. Angel Feathers is often used by drunks and street people to describe (Close Calls) with automobiles-they are from a pedestrian standpoint and have difficulty in avoiding cars-must be pretty far gone. We Yanks call it a near miss.
