In some zoos they live in enclosures that are mainly grass with a bit of dirt, while in others they have small pools or creeks so they can get in the water, and ledges of some kind that they can climb. Others still have either real or man made boulders, caves, grass, dirt and usually some type of water source for them to cool off in. Most zoos try to make sure the enclosure is a place that the animals can exercise all their natural abilities safely, while allowing for future development, if it becomes clear the big cats needs more room.
