I drive by a few animal shelters on my way home from work and I always see a sign saying we need this or that. What are some good items to donate to animal shelters?
Biology to work out what's wrong with the animal and Chemistry to work out the right medicine

Some you have to work there.. Some you can volunteer. Call your local animal shelter and see if they have a volunteer program.
well.
Well, vets do a lot of things when they examine animals. I don't know all of them but I do know that they have to find out what is wrong with the animal. To do that, you have to take data from the animal. I think they take a needle, get blood from the animal and examine that. Then they work on that and the animal is feeling better and healthy again.
Vets can make anywhere from $61.70 - 75.00 an hour. It all depends on your: location, ability to work hard, and experience.
Try calling all the shelter and vets in your area. Ask them if they would concider letting you work for them. If they are not willing to hire you ask them if they would concider allowing you to volunteer your time with them first with the possibility of a job in the future.
Some vets will work with horses. Otherwise, there are specialty equine-vets who will work almost only with horses.
